I am writing this post basically when you are in need of some Indian spices and you don't have time to go Indian Grocery Store. I am listing some of the Indian spices which you can find in your nearby area grocery store (in United States).
- Nutmeg
- Cumin Seeds (Jeera)
- Fennel Seeds (Sauf)
- Yellow Mustard Seeds (Rai)
- Bay Leaves (Tamal Patra)
- Cinnamon (Taaj)
- Cloves (Laving/ Laung)
- Sesame seeds (Til)
- White Pepper (White chilly)
- Ground Turmeric (Haldi)
- Whole Red Chillies
These spices you can find in Walmart, Ralphs, Albertsons, Smart & Final stores.
The name (brand) under which these spices are available are Mc Cormick, Spice Island & Tampico.
I will update this list of spices and the brand under which they are available as soon as I get more information about it.
